I believe the correct designation (at least I've been told several times now) is the Fauxbucks.
And any company who sends numerous marketing stalkers to all the other coffeeshops on the Hill, carbon copies them, and then claims that the resulting remodel is "inspired by Starbucks" is not going to get my business.
check the original starbucks in the pike market - it's not that unsimilar to the new one, sans branding.
I for one quite like the new addition, including the fact that every cup of coffee is ground and brewed per order. nice touch.
I don't care how they rebrand, Starbucks will still be Starbucks to me. CON: Corporate chains have lost their individual authenticity PRO: You can get you're favorite Starbucks treat just about anywhere.
