Vino Verite: New Wine Store

Walking from downtown yesterday evening to meet my girlfriends at Rom Mai Thai, I saw a sign that Vino Verite will be opening at 208 Boylston Avenue East (corner of Olive & Boylston) in September 2008. Here is what Vino Verite has to say about themselves:

We're taking over the space where Winters Men's Formal Wear was. If you're concerned because you always wear a tux when you drink wine, no worries! Winters is moving just around the corner, so they'll still be around to fill all your formal wear needs.

We'll have wine by the bottle from all over the world, with a special emphasis on inexpensive but GOOD wine, and also French and Northwest wine.

Color me excited! (That's a burgundy color, if you're wondering.)

Great sign and logo. Two really friendly guys opening the shop; one of them looks eerily like Edward Norton. Poke your head in and say hi; they really like talking with people. They are doing all the work themselves and are so upbeat about it. Their claim is "we'll always have something open to taste." Gotta love that!

Hey, thanks for the shout! We've still got a couple weeks' worth of remodeling to do, but we're shooting for a September 16th opening date. Before then, if the door's open, please poke your head in and say hi.
