Yesterday on Broadway, we noticed that El Greco has reopened as Table 219. Gary Snyder, El Greco's owner commented on the change: "The brunch menu will remain the same, but the dinner menu has totally changed, although there will be a couple of carry overs such as the crispy penne, bread salad, sweet potato fries and lamb burger that we will feature on the new menu." Key phrase here is that the brunch menu will stay the same. We are a big fan of the sides for breakfast here - the breakfast potatoes and the crusty perfectly buttered toast. Voracious writes about Table 219 here. If El Greco is too crowded for lunch or brunch and you are in the mood to try something exotic, go to the back of the 219 Broadway building and you will find Kimchi Bistro. I had a delicious seafood scallion pancake for lunch the other day with all the standard Korean side dishes - it was a bit more than a normal lunch ($12.50) but well worth it for sharing.
