I'm not normally fan of crusty sandwiches, as they tend to tear up the roof of my mouth. But, the baguettes at the Baguette Box are fresh and do not cause harm. I had the Coconut Curry Tofu Sandwich with Avocado, and it was hearty and delicious. I also had a glass of La Vieille Ferme red ($3.80 per glass!). Like Seattlest, I'm a convert from the Honey Hole. I had thought they were only open for lunch - but they are open until 8 p.m. on weeknights. On a sunny evening, this place has a wonderful view of downtown Seattle. It is dog-friendly (even has dog treats available for your pooch). While on the subject of Eric Banh establishments, Eating Seattle broke the news that Monsoon East is coming to Bellevue. Good for Bellevue, but I take issue with 19th Avenue being labeled a side street and the report that Mr. Banh plans on Monsoon East being more fabulous than our beloved Monsoon!!

The drunken chicken sandwich is crazygood, and the truffle-oil fries are wonderful. Yummmm!
I agree, they're my new favorite last minute dinner spot on the hill. Watch out for their sneaky cilantro through, if you aren't a fan (I can't stand the stuff)!
But the truffle fries are pretty damn good.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but 19th is a side street.
